What is a Columbarium?
Columbariums are structures with inbuilt niche spaces that store urns containing cremated remains. Our columbarium will contain 144 niches in the initial construction which is configured in 4 units with 36 niches per unit. The units will be in a fenced area with a beautiful prayer garden in the center. Each niche may hold the remains of one or two people.
How much will this cost?
Niches will be offered for sale on a first-come, first-serve basis. An introductory price of $2500 per niche is available for the first 25 niches reserved. After that, the price will be $2600 per niche.
Additional costs will include the cost to engrave the niche doors, which will be done by the same engraving company to keep them uniform. Engraving may only include the deceased name and year of birth and death. Currently, this cost is $150 plus shipping to and from the engraver.
The cost of the cremation, funeral costs, and urns are not included in the cost of buying a Columbarium niche. The urns must fit within the niche space, which is 11" wide x 12" deep x 12" high. Dual-use niches must use a box-type urn that allows stacking of two urns to fit the niche dimension.
