Deacon Scott France was born in Texas and grew up in Florida. He’s a graduate of Florida State University. A cradle Catholic, he has lived an ecumenical life having graduated from a Baptist school and been part of a Jewish Boy scout troop not to mention having regularly attended an Episcopal Church and Church of Christ as well as leading a Boy Scout troop at a Presbyterian church.

Professionally Scott’s entire career was spent in the automotive finance industry including starting and selling two companies. He retired in 2019 but still does consulting. He’s also a private pilot and golfer.

He and Kittie, his wife of 41 years, have two children and four grandchildren. After his parents passed away, they decided to move closer to their daughter who was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis at birth. She and her family attend St. John the Baptist in Madison.

Ordained a Deacon in 2009, he served the Diocese of Fort Worth, including as one of the directors of Deacon Formation until moving here in 2024. Scott also served on the board of the National Association of Deacon Directors until May, 2026. When given his choice, he
chose St. Paul’s as his diaconal assignment after visiting all the area churches and we are glad he did.

Welcome Scott and Kittie!
